3/4 cup butter, softened

In a large bowl, cream the granulated sugar with 3/4 cup
margarine or butter. Beat in the eggs, then the vanilla and sour
cream. In a separate bowl, mix together the baking powder, salt,
and 3 cups flour. Beat it into the creamed mixture.
Transfer 1/2 of the batter to a greased and floured tube pan.
Sprinkle with half of the streusel mixture on top.
For the Streusel: Mix together 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, 2
tablespoons butter or margarine, brown sugar, ground cinnamon,
1/2 cup flour, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder until crumbly.
Layer apple slices on top and use jelly to dot. Cover with the rest
of the batter and sprinkle with the leftover streusel. Bake the cake
for 1 hour in a 350 ° F (175 ° C) oven, or until it is done when
